RAISE A READER
In support of the Windsor Star and Post Media’s “Raise a Reader” campaign, I offer the following. Identify the author.
“A room without books is like a body without a soul.”
The word for today is “dissident”.
What part of speech is “dissident”?
Define “dissident” and use it in a sentence that displays its meaning.
Today’s post is number 1,010.
I am proud of that.
I will continue to struggle for perfection in the use of the English language, especially during the “Raise a Reader” campaign.
The only drawback is the constant barrage of poor writing to which readers are subjected.
Perhaps some who write should do some more reading in order to learn the craft.
