GENDER NOUNS

Here is another challenge which can be fun, frustrating and enlightening.
Many words are designated as “masculine” or “feminine”. Doing so identifies the noun’s GENDER.

The following nouns are masculine: abbot, billy-goat, drake, fox, gander, bachelor and buck.
What is the feminine counterpart to each?

The following nouns are feminine: ewe, maiden, prophetess, hind, mistress, widower, filly and belle.
What is the masculine counterpart to each?
