MICHAEL’S RULES OF CORRECT ENGLISH USAGE
The following pronouns are singular in number and require a singular verb: one, anyone, everyone, someone, each, anybody, everybody and somebody.
“Anyone can do this job; it is very easy.”
Any other pronoun in the sentence which refers to one of these words must also be in the singular number.
“Each of us is willing to do his share.”
Here are some very common words which might easily be misused.
