I am taking this space to congratulate Michael’s English Usage for, if nothing else, longevity.
This entry is number 1,900 in my ongoing crusade to eradicate errors in the use of the English language, particularly those errors made by professionals such as newspaper writers and television and radio news people.
To those who share my passion for correctness I say thank you for supporting the cause.
To those who do not care or who sneer at the campaign, I say learning is a wonderful idea that must not be abused by laziness or indifference or apathy.
